Horgești Lake is famous for big carp. We photograph all big carp, publish the photos on our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram) and supply the trophy shots to our customers. The photos are watermarked with the lake logo, the angler’s name, the carp’s weight, and the catch date.
Photographing large carp is done while strictly adhering to all fish protection rules and only in the presence of a lake bailiff. Fish care is an essential aspect for us.
All big carp (upwards of 20kg), can only be photographed in the water. Big carp need the utmost care, and water is the best “unhooking mat” for their protection. We recommend our cutomers to have a waterproof wading suit to be able to enter the water for the photo session in any conditions, regardless of the water temperature, both during the day and at night.
Carp weighing under 20kg can be photographed on the bank, on an inflatable or tub-style, well-padded unhooking mat.
The photo session must be carried out precisely and quickly, with as little stress as possible for the fish.
