The Horgești lake regulations allow boat fishing or fishing with a remote-controlled bait boat. We encourage boat fishing because carp anglers can cover greater distances, can bait more easily, can place the rig and bait with precision, and can use any type of rig without the risk of the rigs tangling, as can happen in casting fishing.
If using lost lead rigs, it is important that the rigs (the clips) are adjusted in such a way that the lead drops immediately from the rig, if needed. See the photo below. The cone that locks the lead is raised only halfway up the clip, not pushed all the way to the end. A heavy lead will fall off during the fight. A light lead may remain in the clip during the fight, but will come out of the clip if the lead snags on an obstacle.
Anglers have the obligation to ensure that their rigs – whether they are semi-fixed lead rigs, sliding lead rigs, or helicopter rigs – release the lead and do not endanger the fish.
